"My wife, Lydia Walshin, has created an event called Drop In and Decorate (http://www.ninecooks.com/dropin.html). It's a wonderful way to share time with friends, have fun baking and decorating cookies, help people in need and give back to the community. This year will be its 6th year and will take place on December 7,8 and 9. Last year, at Lydia's 5th Annual Drop In and Decorate, 62 adults and teens dropped in to decorate more than 800 cookies for six members shelters of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence; two local food pantries; and Crossroads Rhode Island's family emergency shelter - in all, more than 500 recipients.
